Role Description / Criteria Real Life Learning A welcoming and supportive working environment Opportunity to make a real difference in the development and lives of students We have a fantastic opportunity for a Design Technology and Art Assistant to join Penola Catholic College and work in a supportive and collaborative environment. As the Design Technology and Art Assistant you will be responsible for providing assistance to Design Technology and Art Teachers in the classroom. This will include assisting students under the direction of the Teacher. Prepare wood and metal materials as well as art materials for students as required for class projects and activities as directed by the teacher. Schedule and maintain repairs and servicing on equipment as required and maintain stock levels and ordering. Some after hours work may be required at certain times throughout the year. This is a 12 month fixed term part time 3 days per week position. Week 1 – Monday, Thursday, Friday and Week 2 – Tuesday, Thursday, Friday hours will be 22.8 hours per week and will commence on 27 January 2026 at our Junior Campus. About You To be successful you will have knowledge and experience in working with art, wood and metal machinery and general workshop maintenance and will enjoy working with young people. Previous experience in a school environment is highly desirable. You will also be able to guide and assist others. You will have or be willing to obtain a current Working With Children Check and National Police Records Check. You will also have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children.
