Overview Our Banking and Financial Services Treasury team is responsible for supporting Macquarie’s climate risk and sustainability reporting initiatives. Based in Sydney, we work closely with business and risk management stakeholders, as well as other treasury and finance teams, to ensure our reporting frameworks meet regulatory requirements and reflect best practice. By fostering collaboration and leveraging diverse perspectives, we help Macquarie deliver robust and forward-looking solutions in a rapidly evolving landscape. Responsibilities As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in advancing our climate risk and sustainability reporting capabilities. You will research the latest developments in climate risk and reporting, helping to shape how we measure and manage these risks across our portfolio. Your responsibilities include supporting the design and enhancement of risk measurement frameworks, exploring data sources and requirements, and preparing both internal and external reports. You will review relevant regulations and industry standards, contributing to the uplift of our risk frameworks in partnership with teams across the business. Your work will help ensure our compliance and position Macquarie as a leader in climate risk management. Qualifications Experience working in financial services or in roles focused on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) topics A tertiary qualification in Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline Confidence in sourcing, interpreting, and presenting data, with strong numerical and analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly A collaborative approach and willingness to work across teams to deliver effective solutions.
