Manager, Workday Financials

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to join our Workday Finance Practice. This individual will be a core member of the finance leadership team, playing a dual role as both a strategic leader and a hands‑on contributor. The ideal candidate will bring deep Workday Finance expertise, lead multiple projects as a solution architect, and drive excellence in delivery, people development, and practice growth. Key Responsibilities: Project Oversight & Delivery Provide oversight for multiple Workday Finance projects across the practice. Act as a trusted advisor to project teams, identifying risks, resolving issues, and ensuring successful delivery. Sales & Business Development Support the RFP response and pursuit process for Consulting work. Support orals. Project Work Guide the customer through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and an understanding of the customer’s unique business requirements at all stages of the project. Regularly engage and support the client through all phases of the project, ensuring a smooth transfer from legacy systems to the Workday Financials solution. Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, while regularly keeping the client, your project team, and your Engagement Manager abreast of changes or progress related to the project. Willingness to take a leadership position on a project, or as a Cognizant or Workday product Partner Lead and/or Delivery Assurance Reviewer. Display your hands‑on expertise of the software, moving configuration from tenant to tenant, and configuring business processes and security. Act as a mentor to fellow consultants and analysts, including providing support for shadow assignments. Education and Experience Required: Possess 3-5 years of Workday (or other ERP) Consulting implementation experience. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Required characteristics: fast learner, detail oriented, decisive, and enjoy fast paced work environments. Must work well within and across teams to get things accomplished.
