Staff Accountant

Job DescriptionThe Staff Accountant will support the accounting affairs of Elevate Entertainment Group. You will examine, analyze, and interpret accounting records to prepare financial statements, provide advice, or audit and evaluate statements prepared by others. Install or advise on systems of recording costs or other financial and budgetary data.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account informationReconciles and maintains assigned balance sheet and income statement accountsAnalyzes income statement for several operating locationsSubstantiates financial transactions by auditing documentsMaintain and clear general ledger reconciling items from operating bank accounts on a monthly basisPrepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trendsPerforms as a secondary review and approval for invoices and credit memosCompiling data in worksheets for month end close purposesReconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account informationSupports organization in compliance on as needed basis – filing sales tax, applying for permits/licenses, setting up utilities, etc.Secures financial information by completing database backupsMaintains financial security by following internal controls
Skills + Abilities included but are not limited to:
Strong accounting foundation and thorough understanding of GAAPAbility to multitask and work in a dynamic environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Proficient in accounting software.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.Able to work independently and with a team successfully.Education + Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required2-3 years of related experience requiredPhysical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.Pay Range: 60k-78k
