We’relooking for experiencedand customer service driven Field Service Fitters to join ourMt Isa team to support our one of our key customers at Cannington Mine. These are12 Month Fixed Term opportunities working a n Even Time 7/7-day shift roster .These FIFO roles will fly directly into Cannington from either Townsville or Brisbane . Whatyou’ll be doing: As a Field Service Fitter at Hastings Deering, you will: Get out on site - travel to site to provide hands‑on support andassistcustomers with machine maintenance, breakdowns,diagnosticsand warranty repairs. Take on the big jobs - carry out scheduled engine rebuilds, repairs, and general servicing. Keep the wheels turning - minimise production downtime by getting equipment back up and running quickly and safely. Deliver real value - provide quality service that helps customers boost the performance and reliability of their CAT gear. Whatyou’ll need: A successful teammate will have experience in: Trade Qualification – Certificate III in Engineering (Diesel Fitter preferred). Other suitable trades include Automotive Mechanic, Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner, or Mechanical trades. Industry Experience – Demonstrated experience with industrial engines; marine sector experience is highly regarded. Technical Skills – Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability. Safety Commitment – Dedicated adherence to workplace health and safety policies and procedures. Work Ethic – High level of initiative, reliability, and ability to work independently. Customer Focus – Commitment to continuous improvement with a strong customer service approach. Communication & Organisation – Excellent communication, documentation, and time management skills.
