What You’ll Be Doing We’re not your typical cyber team. We’re collaborative, curious, and customer‑obsessed and we’re looking for a Consulting Cyber Security Engineer who’s ready to partner with clients, lead projects, and bring deep Microsoft security expertise to the table. If you thrive on solving complex security challenges and enjoy working directly with customers to deliver real outcomes, this could be the role for you. As a Consulting Cyber Security Engineer, you will partner directly with clients to design and deliver secure, resilient Microsoft environments. You will own your projects end‑to‑end, from discovery and scoping through to delivery and documentation, providing trusted guidance on security controls across the Microsoft security suite. This is a client‑facing role that demands exceptional communication skills, strong technical expertise, and the ability to juggle competing priorities while driving outcomes. A typical day may look like this: Act as the primary point of contact for client engagements, building trusted relationships and delivering outstanding service. Work with clients to understand business needs, define project scope, and lead kick‑off sessions to set clear expectations. Manage your own portfolio of projects, tracking progress, resolving issues, and escalating risks with professionalism and clarity. Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft security solutions including Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Conditional Access Policies, Intune, Microsoft Defender, and the broader O365/Entra security ecosystem. Provide expert guidance on best practices for securing Microsoft platforms, ensuring clients maximise their investment in security technologies. Prepare clear, professional documentation and technical reports to support delivery outcomes. Conduct security control assessments and third‑party security reviews using established workflows and templates. Assess and refine client cybersecurity processes, procedures, and risk management practices to strengthen overall resilience. What You’ll Bring You bring curiosity, structure, and a hunger to learn plus a great team spirit and a growing passion for cyber security. Ideally, your toolkit includes: Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in a customer‑facing role within the cyber security industry Qualifications in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience) Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Practical expertise across Microsoft security solutions including: Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Conditional Access Policies, Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) / Entra AD, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft 365 Compliance Center, Microsoft Cloud App Security & Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) Bonus Points Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals are highly regarded Even if you don’t tick every box, don’t let that hold you back.
