Primary Care Mental Health Support Worker Join to apply for the Primary Care Mental Health Support Worker role at NHS Highland. We are looking for a proactive, forward‑thinking individual who wants to gain experience working in a dynamic service. This post supports the growing Primary Care Mental Health Service across Lochaber (NHS Highland North). Hours are aligned to GP cluster areas and involve working within a multidisciplinary community‑based team in partnership with GP, primary care, 3rd sector and CMHT colleagues. You will deliver psychological therapy programmes with individuals who present with mild to moderate mental health problems using a strength‑based, recovery‑focused approach that involves the patient as a partner in care‑planning. You will conduct individual sessions, collaborative group work, and may work in local GP surgeries, other community environments, and on virtual platforms such as Near Me. You should be a person‑centred, self‑motivated, enthusiastic, innovative individual committed to professional development and active involvement in service development. Prior experience in a mental health setting is advantageous, but supervision and continuous professional development will be provided. Duties Member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme – must apply and be accepted. Possess a valid driving licence and access to a private vehicle. Work within the Primary Care Mental Health Service, coordinating with the multidisciplinary team. Provide face‑to‑face, telephone, and electronic contact, including virtual consultations.
