Ashurst Reach Legal Consultants – Telecommunications Regulation Lawyer – Melbourne Join to apply for the Ashurst Reach Legal Consultants – Telecommunications Regulation Lawyer – Melbourne role at Ashurst Job Details 6 months starting ASAP (possibility of extension) Full time (hybrid) (open to 4 days) Melbourne This is an opportunity to join an organisation in the telecommunications sector Build your portfolio legal career with this well-known business About You: You have specialist expertise in telecommunications regulation and knowledge of consumer and spam laws and regulation You have a strong understanding of the Telecommunications Act and other telecommunications related laws and regulations You have an understanding of the regulatory frameworks of OAIC, ACMA and the ACCC You have the ability to provide legal support on regulatory matters, ensuring compliance with telecommunications laws, industry codes and emerging digital platform regulations You have the ability to draft, review and negotiate telecommunications and compliance documentation You have the ability to provide comprehensive legal support to internal teams You have experience and an understanding of Australian privacy, data protection and cyber matters and advice You are comfortable liaising with multiple internal stakeholders and teams You have the ability to manage external facing issues You have a minimum of 6 years' experience You have the ability to hit the ground running, work autonomously and prioritise Requirements: The right to live and work in Australia (and be based here) and hold or be able to obtain a current practising certificate Willingness to engage with Ashurst via an Incorporated Legal Practice or casual employment Ashurst Reach: Ashurst Reach is the firm's dedicated flexible legal resourcing platform which provides the firm's clients and Practice Groups within the firm with access to a high quality talent pool of lawyers and paralegals.
