Entyce Food Ingredients ( is a proudly Australian, family-owned business leading the way in food innovation. We import/export, manufacture and distribute quality finished foods and ingredients to QSR franchises, food service providers, national supermarkets, meal kit companies, industrial manufacturers and multinational brands. Role Overview This senior leadership position reports to the GM – Technical & Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for heading and continuously improving Entyce's Quality, Food Safety and Regulatory Affairs programs. Working mainly within two of our manufacturing sites – Carrum Downs and Dandenong South, the role oversees the quality management system, ensures regulatory compliance (including FSANZ updates and packaging), and manages a team of quality professionals. The QA Manager drives best‑practice compliance with SQF and other certification standards and fosters a culture of food safety and quality across the business. Key Responsibilities Quality Management & Compliance Lead and maintain Entyce's Quality Management System to meet SQF standards and evolving customer expectations. Develop and enforce quality assurance policies, procedures and documentation. Oversee regulatory compliance (FSANZ updates, packaging, HACCP, BRC, WQA, retailer‑specific standards). Conduct internal, supplier and customer audits; manage HACCP programs and maintain certification. Implement corrective/preventative actions, allergen control programs (e.g., VITAL), mock recalls and traceability exercises. Manage the quality department, including resource planning, training, job allocation and performance management. Build a positive culture of food safety and quality; induct and train staff in quality and safety systems. Lead monthly food safety meetings and management reviews; analyze customer complaints and non‑conformances. Build supplier assurance programs, conduct risk assessments, audits (local and international) and monitor supplier compliance. Maintain strong relationships with sales teams, customers and suppliers to ensure product quality and regulatory requirements are met. Support New Product Development (NPD) from concept through to regulatory compliance, including PIF's, nutritional panels and artwork. Operational Excellence Manage day‑to‑day QA operations (microbiological release, supply compliance, verification). Develop and improve quality systems, processes and documentation to drive efficiency and innovation. Improve traceability procedures and be prepared to coordinate product recalls. Champion alternative, innovative ways of working to enhance customer service and product quality. Support implementation of new manufacturing processes, equipment and techniques in partnership with international manufacturers. Required Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Food Science & Technology or a related discipline (equivalent qualifications considered). Extensive experience in the food manufacturing industry, preferably within multinational FMCG operations. Minimum of 3‑5 years experience in the food manufacturing industry is required. Demonstrated leadership in quality assurance and food safety; ability to maintain certifications such as SQF, HACCP, BRC etc. Minimum of 3‑5 years leadership experience in quality assurance and food safety is required. Strong understanding of food safety regulations, FSANZ standards, allergen management and quality management systems. Proven capability in managing audits, supplier assurance programs, and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication, training and team‑leadership skills; ability to work in fast‑paced environments and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software; strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Victorian driver's licence and car.
