Gas Services Worker at Origin Energy Join now to apply for the Gas Services Worker role at Origin Energy. As a Gas Services Worker, you’ll conduct monthly and quarterly reads of Origin‑owned gas and hot water meters at domestic, commercial, and industrial properties. You’ll also help maintain Origin assets and sites, support gas fitters with projects and installations, and play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly. Flexibility, initiative, and a commitment to safety are essential in this dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities: Promote and support a safety‑based work culture, actively managing risks to achieve zero LTIs. Carry out meter readings at customer premises in a timely, safe, and courteous manner. Support Service & Installation gas fitters with manual work on projects, installations, and maintenance jobs. Perform regular maintenance on Origin tank/cylinder compounds, including washing and signage replacement. Manage multiple tasks, assess priorities, and meet agreed targets. What will you bring? Strong organisational and communication skills. A valid driver’s licence (or ability to obtain one suitable for all vehicles driven). Ability to accurately read approximately 3,000 meters at customer premises within set timeframes. Willingness and ability to carry out manual labour (trenching, digging, weed control, washing/painting LPG tanks). Blue Card/White Card (with MR Class, Forklift/EWP licences, or trade qualifications highly regarded). So, why join us?
