Physiotherapist – NSW Health Muswellbrook Location: Muswellbrook, New South Wales, Australia Employment Type: Permanent Part Time (20 hours per week) Remuneration : $58.95 - $60.86 per hour + super + salary packaging About the Location Located in the picturesque Upper Hunter region, this position is part of the Hunter Valley Community Health Transitional Aged Care (TACP) team at Muswellbrook Hospital. As the sole TACP Physiotherapist based at Muswellbrook, you will play a vital role on site and collaborate with TACP Physiotherapists at Singleton and Kurri Kurri. About The Role As a Level 3 Physiotherapist, you will deliver physiotherapy services to community clients enrolled in the Transitional Aged Care Program (TACP). Responsibilities include: Providing client‑centred, goal‑based physiotherapy within a community setting to eligible patients. Managing a diverse caseload of orthopaedic conditions, falls prevention, geriatric neurological issues, respiratory care and patients recently discharged from long hospital stays. Collaborating closely with patients, families and multidisciplinary team members to develop realistic, goal‑focused treatment plans. Working independently on-site while coordinating with the multidisciplinary team and accessing ongoing clinical support from other TACP sites. Engaging in ongoing professional development with clinical mentors and colleagues. Qualifications The ideal candidate demonstrates: Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills in aged care and rehabilitation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging patients, families and team members. Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek support or collaborate. Empathy and a person‑centred approach to care delivery. Previous experience in transitional or community physiotherapy is desirable but not essential; a willingness to learn will be supported.
