About The Role The Nurse Practitioner in Gastroenterology is responsible for providing holistic care to their patients with gastroenterological conditions through the recognition of symptoms, diagnosis, and managing the conditions alongside patients and their families. On any given day, the Nurse Practitioner is responsible for triaging gastroenterology referrals; conducting bowel cancer screenings; using their advanced clinical knowledge to prescribe appropriate medications; and taking part of research projects to optimise patient care.
