Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced business services accountant to join our team in a full-time role, based in our Sunshine Coast office. This role will require you to work closely with your Manager and Partner in maintaining and establishing client relationships. You will work with a diverse client base across a broad range of industry sectors and must have solid business services and tax experience with a variety of clients. You will also be required to prepare/review financial statements, tax returns, BAS/IAS, provide tax planning advice, and other general accounting advice to clients. You will also liaise with the Australian Taxation Office when necessary, as well as provide training and mentoring to junior staff. Successful Applicants will: Have a minimum of 4 years' experience working within an Accountancy Firm in Business Services Be degree qualified and working towards/hold a CA/CPA qualification Have a broad knowledge of Australian tax fundamentals Have strong tax and financial technical skills Have prior experience in engaging with clients and training junior staff Have an excellent can-do attitude and enjoy helping others Show a strong degree of initiative with the ability to work with limited supervision Bring enthusiasm and self-motivation to the workplace About us SRJ Walker Wayland is a leading accounting firm, with a modern office at Birtinya and a larger office on the northside of Brisbane at Brendale.
