Join to apply for the Accountant role at Sharp & Carter are proud to partner with a growing and well-respected construction business on the Sunshine Coast for the recruitment of an Accountant on a permanent, part‑time basis. This is a broad, hands‑on finance role where you will take ownership of day‑to‑day accounting operations while playing a key role in supporting month‑end processes and financial decision‑making. Working closely with the Director, you will ensure the integrity of financial data, maintain strong compliance practices, and help drive the ongoing financial health of the business. You’ll be joining a supportive, close‑knit team that values trust, collaboration and high‑quality work. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Accountant who enjoys variety, autonomy and the chance to influence operations. Key Responsibilities Manage end‑to‑end accounts including AP, AR, bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, superannuation and all statutory compliance reporting Manage payroll processing for site and office teams, ensuring accuracy and compliance with awards and legislation. Monitor cashflow and support month‑end processes including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis Partner with the Director to deliver financial insights and support strategic decision‑making Oversee subcontractor compliance, ensuring all insurances and documentation are up to date Liaise effectively with external accountants, suppliers and internal stakeholders Skills & Experience Required Experience in a similar Accountant or Senior Finance Officer position (construction industry experience highly regarded) End‑to‑end payroll processing experience. High attention to detail with the ability to work autonomously Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Proficiency with accounting systems and a proactive, solution‑focused approach How to Apply Sharp & Carter often have a range of positions available that may not yet be advertised.
