Bechtel renewables and clean power team is currrently bidding for a number of solar farm, battery storage, transmission and wind farms across Australia with a view to execute these projects in the coming years.Job Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for estimating, analysis and control activities for projects with significant non-routine requirements or for cost activities which require a high degree of technical skill. You will prepare cost studies, review cost trends, and develop and implement project requirements for cost control. Your detailed analysis will provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges.Major Responsibilities:
Performs routine cost estimating, analysis, and control activities, as directedSupports the implementation of cost monitoring and control standards, techniques, systems, and reportsAssists with budget allocation and reporting/cost control for specific construction discipline or group of disciplinesPrepares cost data for proposals or contractsCoordinates the development and accuracy of cost reportsVerifies consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility and consistencyPrepares specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and proceduresCollects and classifies cost dataPerforms budget allocation and reporting/cost control regime for specific construction discipline or group of disciplinesPrepares cost studies using historical data, statistical analysis, and cost and quantity comparisonsEducation and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experienceRequired Knowledge and Skills:
Minimum of 3-4 years of project controls experience.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing cost engineering functions, which include cost estimating, cost control, cost analysis and financial and other reporting.Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes.Skilled in oral and written communication.There are many reasons why choosing to join Bechtel is one of the best career decisions you will ever make.
