About the role Thiess invites applicants to apply for the position of Operational Technology Technician Assistant. This hands-on role will report through the Mt Arthur South Electrical, Technology and Infrastructure Superintendent and support Thiess’s operations at Mt Arthur South. Working on a Lifestyle roster, the responsibility of the role will be to assist with the maintenance and installation of infrastructure and systems which support the Operational Technology (OT), Fleet Management Systems (FMS) and other smart machine systems used on Mt Arthur South site. Some of your duties will include: Installations and maintenance on mobile fleet Installations and maintenance on mine backhaul network Carry out inspections and repairs during machine overhauls Perform system upgrades as required Build close working relationship with equipment OEMs. About you Driver’s license Experience working in an open cut mining environment Knowledge and demonstrated experience of Network maintenance, Fleet Management System (FMS) and other smart machine systems Cert III in Telecommunications, Electronics or Electrotechnology (desirable) Certificate of Proficiency - in Telecommunications, Electronics or Electrotechnology (desirable) Knowledge of the following/similar systems will be highly desirable: Ivolve FMS Terrain drill profiling data capture with GPS correction Mine 4D DSS Fatigue monitoring Video Cameras monitoring the open cut operations.
