Flourish Community Solutions has casual opportunities for Youth workers and Family Support Workers in Gympie and surrounding areas. The opportunity requires working directly with youth and families in their own homes and communities, supporting them in scheduled family contact, and assisting with reconnecting the family. Note this is not residential out-of-home care or disability support work. Various shift rotations are available. We are specifically looking for those with some weekday availability and must have some weekend availability; only experienced workers need to apply. We work under the SCHADS award, and weekend rates apply, making this an attractive opportunity. Immediate start available *** Can work as a second job. We are looking for support workers who are interested in supporting change and embracing individuality and are driven to achieve outcomes. Reliability and dedication to deliver therapeutic, caring support are a must. Flourish Community Solutions provides intensive family support, parent mentoring, and early intervention solutions to young people and families in need. Working alongside families and young people wherever they are in their journey, with a focus on keeping families together safely. Our Values People First, Compassion, Empowerment Purpose Lifting others up to achieve their true potential In this role, you will facilitate individualised support to achieve sustainable change in families with complex needs, whilst working alongside the family to prevent a family from entering or re-entering the statutory child protection system. You must be personable, caring, and have a genuine passion for helping others. Direct work with families and young people is a must, and you will be required to guide, mentor, and facilitate their development, implement support strategies, connect them to services and community, support and guide them in safe behaviour or safe parenting, mental health support and drive their intervention journey forward with them at the forefront.
