Food Plant Facilities/Buildings and Grounds Maintenance in Flemington Energy Jobline is the largest and fastest growing global Energy Job Board and Energy Hub. Job Summary The purpose of this position is to perform various assignments in the maintenance, repair, alteration and remodeling of buildings, offices and other site facilities using skills in carpentry, plumbing, roofing, painting and concrete/masonry. Compensation Compensation $22.35/hour, based on skills, experience, qualifications and testing Premium healthcare benefits, including medical, dental and vision coverage Retirement savings account Company paid life insurance, vacation, holidays and sick days Full-time, 40-hour work week plus overtime opportunities Responsibilities Perform skilled work in the maintenance, repair, alteration and remodeling of buildings, offices and grounds. Perform rough and finished carpentry. Tear down and rebuild partitions. Install new flooring of wood, carpet or tile. Assemble tables, chairs, desks and shelving. Repair or replace windows, door and locks. Assemble, install and/or repair pipes, fittings and fixtures for water, heating and drainage. Maintain exterior of buildings through power washing and/or painting. Maintain grounds and perform minor surface repairs. Provide snow removal and icy surface control in inclement weather. Direct the work of other skilled or unskilled workers as needed. Train new staff in existing work methods to ensure conformance with accepted standards. Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround time, streamline work processes and work cooperatively to provide seamless customer service. Ensure compliance with applicable quality system standards and the unit’s food safety and security programs in support of essential manufacturing strategies and practices. Serve as Alternate to Director of Maintenance to ensure effective coverage of the Safe Quality Food responsibilities pertaining to that position. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Ability to drive (operate) heavy equipment. Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of practical problems. A combination of prior experience and skill in similar line of work is beneficial but not required. Ability to operate equipment and electric hand tools a plus. Must have ability to perform basic math. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and climb ladders. Johanna Foods is a state-of-the-art food manufacturer located in Flemington, New Jersey.
