Position Summary Developing, implementing and maintaining the Company’s Quality Management System, including managing the interface of the Quality Management System with the Company’s Work‑Place Health and Safety and Environment policies. Developing and implementing policies in respect of organizational continuous quality improvement, compliance, and risk management. Leading the organization through audit, monitoring, and accreditation processes. Providing support and guidance to departmental Managers. Work‑Life Balance Key Challenges of the Position Ability to work closely with internal teams such as Operations, Production, Customer Service and Procurement to ensure all quality processes and procedures including Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) are implemented, and ensuring compliance to all applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards and customer agreements. Key Relationships Internal Contacts and Purpose & Frequency of Contact Manager / Supervisor Work closely with production management on a daily basis on adherence to company policies, procedures, and specifications. Meet with managers as required to provide updates on current projects. Team Members Work with team members daily to progress ongoing quality improvement. Participate in / coordinate meetings to share information and provide input on any issues. External Contacts and Purpose & Frequency of Contact Customers Interactions with existing and potential customers as required or as requested by management. Suppliers & External Auditors Liaise with external suppliers to ensure standards and requirements are maintained. Liaise with external auditor for yearly audit. Key Requirements Essential Skills & Requirements A minimum of Technical & Further Education in either Quality Management, Engineering, or, have equivalent demonstrated experience. Strong and relevant manufacturing experience in Quality. Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a quality role. ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Training. Demonstrated knowledge and application of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards. Proven ability to plan and manage development of documentation and processes to set timelines. Demonstrated ability to identify problems, analyse data, form opinions, and implement solutions to complex problems. Understanding of LEAN manufacturing principles. Ability to build relationships and communicate with a broad range of stakeholders to achieve business outcomes. Intermediate MS Office Skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong analytic, reporting, planning and organisational skills. Additional Requirements Team player, a self‑starter with a strong work ethic. Promote and adhere to Hetech’s Core Values. Job Responsibility Quality Management / Documentation Develop, implement and maintain Hetech’s existing Quality Management System (QMS), includes quality directives, policies, plans, production processes, procedures, work instructions and complete all product Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) requirements. Tracking, monitoring and measuring the health and performance of the QMS and addressing any lagging and negative indicators. Maintain quality data records, compile information and prepare reports for both internal and external customers as required. Develop, document and implement processes and procedures to meet customer’s contractual requirements. Continuous Improvement Review and improve procedures, instructions and test methods and conduct measurement analysis as appropriate. Review the efficiency of quality and inspection systems, identify areas for improvement. Conduct system and process level audits for the purpose of identifying opportunities for improvement. Assess system compliance to application regulations, standards and contract requirements. Raw Materials / Production Inspection Supervise / support raw material and in‑process inspections. Perform preliminary review and analysis including liaising with production and procurement teams for non‑conforming material / product. Perform product audits in accordance with company / customer / industry standards, report result, assign and monitor follow‑up actions. Plan, conduct, and monitor testing and inspection of processes and procedures to ensure quality of finished products meets the required standard. Audit Support Quality Assessments and Audits internally and externally. Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities, evaluate findings and implement appropriate corrective actions. Support Provide support to the production team and members of the leadership team during resolution of quality issues and the implementation of corrective actions. Investigate customer complaints and non‑conformance issues. Collaborate with the production team to identify root causes for product defects and work on appropriate solutions. Analyse non‑conformance data, generate performance improvement actions and assist production through continuous improvement process. Professional Development Represent Hetech at key networking events as required. Commit to continuous professional development of key quality skills. ERP System Provide input and support in the implementation of the Company’s Enterprise Resource Planning System. Oversee database maintenance and procedures. CAS Reviews Document and follow up on CAS (Corrective Action System). Be responsible for closing a CAS. DISP (Defence Industry Security Program) Security Officer Manage Hetech’s compliance with the requirements of DISP in the function of Security Officer (SO). Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant DISP policies. Manage security incidents or breaches as per DISP regulations. Prepare annual DISP report. Conduct training with staff on DISP requirements. The Security Officer (SO) reports to and works with the Chief Security Officer (CSO).
