About the Role As the Memberships Lead, you’ll be the driving force behind member acquisition, engagement, and retention. You’ll lead tours, respond to enquiries, close sales, and ensure a seamless onboarding process for every new member. With a deep understanding of our offerings and community, you’ll personalise every interaction, matching prospective members with the right solutions and supporting them through their journey. You’ll also work closely with operations and member experience teams to ensure consistent delivery of service and a connected, thriving member base. About You You’re a natural relationship builder with a genuine passion for helping people find their place in a community. You bring confidence, organisation, and emotional intelligence to every interaction, balancing sales skills with a member‑first mindset. You know how to listen, tailor solutions, and close deals without ever making it feel transactional. Proactive, empathetic, and results‑driven, you care just as much about long‑term satisfaction as you do about hitting your targets. We offer flexible rostering with two set patterns to choose from. Both include one weekend day and will run on either a morning or afternoon schedule. Your options are Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday. Key Responsibilities Lead Generation & Sales Strategy Proactively attract and secure new members through strategic sales channels and targeted outreach. Identify and pursue corporate partnerships and sales opportunities. Represent The Commons at events, workshops, and networking functions to expand lead pipelines. Build and nurture relationships with prospective members to drive long‑term engagement. Deliver engaging, informative, and tailored tours of the club, showcasing The Commons’ facilities and culture. Follow up with leads consistently and strategically to optimise conversion rates. Assist in organising and executing launch events, walk‑in tours, and corporate presentations. Member Retention Design and execute strategies to retain members and minimise churn. Monitor engagement data and retention metrics to continuously refine approaches. Foster a sense of belonging by ensuring ongoing support and value for existing members. Coach and mentor team members in best practices for sales and lead handling. Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of all leads and interactions. Provide support to community and front‑line teams in navigating membership conversations and processes. Strategy & Budget Management Collaborate with the Club Manager to deliver on strategic membership initiatives and campaigns. Assist in budget planning and ensure membership goals align with broader business objectives. Track and report on sales performance, member feedback, and industry trends. Offer insights to inform future campaigns and optimise sales efforts.
