Data Manager – Gippsland Radiation Oncology Join Alfred Health as a Data Manager for the Gippsland Radiation Oncology (GRO) department. Alfred Health is a leader in health service delivery, research and education, serving communities across Victoria. The organization will merge with Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service to form Bayside Health on 1 January 2026, creating new training, education and career opportunities for all employees. Part‑time – 32 hours per fortnight Managers and Administrative Workers Grade 2, Level 1‑5 (HS2‑HS21) Location: Gippsland Radiation Oncology, Latrobe Regional Health – Traralgon Great staff benefits – 5 weeks annual leave & salary packaging The Department The Alfred Health Radiation Oncology (AHRO) Department provides comprehensive cancer services. It comprises two units – Alfred Radiation Oncology (ARO) located in the South Block at The Alfred and Gippsland Radiation Oncology (GRO) at Latrobe Regional Health, Traralgon – delivering full‑range radiation oncology and therapy services, including specialised national services. The Role The GRO department has a vacancy for a part‑time (32 hours per fortnight) Data Manager. The successful applicant will maintain departmental databases for all patients attending the department and assist with related research projects. Responsibilities Maintain and update departmental databases for patient and treatment records. Assist in the design, maintenance and analysis of data collection systems for clinical research. Ensure data integrity, security and compliance with relevant policies. Collaborate with clinical and research staff to support data‑driven decision‑making. Qualifications and Experience Required Relevant tertiary qualification in Health, Science, Health Information Management or a related paramedical discipline. Experience in data management or clinical trials (desirable). Proficiency with hospital‑based or similar computer systems. Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications. Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organisational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop, maintain and analyse databases and data collection systems.
