About the Organisation Our client is a national not-for-profit organisation representing primary health care services. The organisation works collaboratively with governments, communities, and health sector partners to advance policy, program delivery, and systems reform that improve outcomes and wellbeing. The Opportunity The Assistant Director will lead a dedicated team to deliver evidence-based policy advice and program outcomes, contributing to a coordinated national approach to cancer control. The role involves shaping policy initiatives, managing key projects, and fostering collaboration across a wide range of stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Provide accurate, timely, and influential policy and program advice grounded in data, evidence, and consultation.Lead the planning and execution of health initiatives focused on prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and supportive care. Undertake complex research, analysis, and strategic horizon scanning to guide policy direction and implementation. Prepare high-quality briefs, reports, and communication materials for diverse audiences. Represent the organisation in meetings, workshops, and stakeholder forums. Manage and mentor a dynamic team, oversee grant processes, and provide secretariat support for governanceli> About You Professional background in public, social, or health policy and programs, with experience in cancer or related areas desirable. Proven experience leading teams, delivering projects, and achieving outcomes in complex environments. Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing abilities at senior levels. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Relevant tertiary qualifications in health, policy, or a related field.
