Fit Kidz is about family, love, and learning. We have ten Early Learning Centres located at Box Hill, Dural, Glenwood, Putney, Rouse Hill, Turramurra, Vineyard, and Warrawee. Fit Kidz is 100% Australian family owned and operated. At Fit Kidz,you join a group of caring, bright, and motivated people who share a passion for early years education and care. We believe that our centres, as beautiful as they are, are only as good as the people in them. Our Vineyard centre is a 90-place, purpose-built centre consisting of 5 rooms with an AMAZING outdoor space. We care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years and are open from 7:00am to 6:30pm. We are currently looking for a centre chef to join the team If you love cooking and children;WE WANT YOU About the role…… Prior experience in childcare centre cooking is desirable. Responsible for the day to day running of a clean and healthy kitchen. Preparing healthy meals for children (aged 6 weeks to 6 years); including breakfast, morning tea, lunch with a dessert, afternoon tea and a late snack, while following National Food Standards and the centre guidelines including catering to our children with special dietary needs. Have general knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and safety issues relating to children and team members. Order all food/supplies as well as cleaning and maintaining the kitchen. To apply, you must have the following: Permitted to work permanently with no restriction on hours (e.g. citizen, permanent resident) Ability to work Monday to Friday with hours negotiable (approx 7am to 2pm) Ability to show initiative and work with minimal supervision. Adhere to strict infection control and cross contamination protocols. Be a team player. Ability to obtain a paid and verified Working with Children Check. A commitment to uphold child safe policies and codes of conduct. You will be required to provide a minimum of two professional referees Hold or willing to obtain a Safe Food Handling Certificate.
