Milestone Information Technology – Melbourne VIC Milestone IT is currently working with one of Australia’s leading financial organisations to help them identify an experienced Systems Engineer – Citrix / DaaS to join their technology team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a large-scale Citrix environment within a mature enterprise environment that values innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence. About the Role Reporting to the Manager – Application Delivery, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and optimising the organisation’s Citrix infrastructure. You’ll ensure secure, high-performance access to critical business systems and applications across both on‑premises and cloud-hosted (Citrix Cloud) environments. The role will see you working hands‑on across Citrix DaaS, NetScaler Gateways, StoreFront, and PVS servers while collaborating closely with infrastructure and networking teams to deliver a reliable and secure virtual desktop experience. Key Responsibilities Maintain and optimise Citrix DaaS environments across on-prem and cloud platforms. Manage Citrix NetScaler Gateways, StoreFront, and PVS infrastructure. Configure and maintain secure Citrix access policies. Troubleshoot and resolve performance, connectivity, and session reliability issues. Proactively identify potential risks and implement preventative actions. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery. Document all configurations, installation, and troubleshooting procedures. Provide high-level technical support for Citrix-related incidents via ServiceNow. Skills and Experience 3–5 years’ experience in Citrix operational support. Solid understanding of Citrix Cloud, NetScaler, XenApp/XenDesktop, and DaaS. Experience managing Windows 10/11 VDIs and VMware vCenter. Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud). Strong communication, documentation, and customer service skills. Relevant tertiary qualifications or Citrix certifications (CCA‑V, CCP‑V, etc.) are highly regarded.
