AO5 Procurement Officer Randstad Australia About The Role As a Procurement Officer, you will play a key role in delivering effective and efficient procurement services in accordance with Queensland Government procurement policies and procedures. You will be responsible for managing end‑to‑end procurement processes for a diverse range of goods, services, and works, ensuring value for money and compliance. Key Responsibilities Collaboratively work on procurement projects, from planning and sourcing to contract management and evaluation. Prepare and evaluate tender documentation, including specifications, evaluation criteria, and contract terms. Provide advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement policies, processes, and best practices. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including the Queensland Procurement Policy. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and systems. About You Proven experience in managing end‑to‑end procurement processes, preferably within a government or large organisation. A strong understanding of Queensland Government procurement policies and procedures (or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge). Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective procurement strategies. Excellent negotiation, communication (both written and verbal), and interpersonal skills. Mandatory Requirements Possession of a relevant tertiary qualification in procurement, business, law, or a related discipline is highly desirable. Demonstrated experience at the AO5 level (or equivalent) with a strong focus on procurement.
