Merchandise Planner – Seed Heritage We are seeking a skilled and analytical Merchandise Planner to join the Seed Heritage Merchandise Planning team. Please note: this is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Responsibilities Prepare weekly sales and stock reporting by country, state, department, and class. Analyse results from promotions and key retail events (e.g. Black Friday, Mother’s Day) and provide recommendations for future growth. Deliver reporting and insights for trade, seasonal strategy, and budgeting meetings. Conduct in‑season trading analysis to optimise sales and profit performance. Maintain weekly item plans for core styles to ensure optimal inventory levels. Support seasonal store gridding, markdown analysis, and post‑season reviews. Monitor aged and clearance inventory, stock replenishment, and supply chain volumes. Collaborate with State Managers and key stakeholders to identify sales and stock opportunities. Provide ad‑hoc analysis and reporting to support business initiatives. On‑site role 5‑days per week, based in our St Kilda Road offices. Ideal Candidate A tertiary qualification or equivalent in Business, Commerce or Accounting. 5+ years’ experience in merchandise planning. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with merchandise planning systems advantageous. Commercially savvy, with excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving ability. Strong communicator and collaborator with the ability to influence stakeholders.
