Auswide Marine Dredging Services is seeking an experienced Vessel Master to oversee the safe and efficient operations on an 80m TSHD. This full‑time role is based in Brisbane, Queensland and will be responsible for leading a team of maritime professionals to ensure all vessel operations are conducted to the highest safety and compliance standards. This will be for an immediate start What you’ll be doing Commanding and navigating Auswide Marine Dredging Services’ vessels, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of dredged materials. Overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of the vessel, including monitoring crew performance, maintaining logs and records, and implementing safety protocols Coordinating vessel maintenance and repairs to maximise uptime and operational efficiency Liaising with shore‑based management to report on vessel activities and key performance indicators Providing mentorship and training to less experienced crew members Ensuring full compliance with all relevant maritime regulations and industry best practices What we’re looking for Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Vessel Master or equivalent, with a proven track record of safe and efficient maritime operations Strong navigational skills and experience with the use of maritime technology and equipment Excellent leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to motivate and develop a crew Thorough knowledge of maritime regulations, safety protocols, and environmental best practices Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills to effectively manage complex, time‑sensitive situations. To be considered for this role, you will have: Master 45m or equivilent (or higher certificate) Full working rights to work in Australia. AMSA Medical 1850 or AMSA 303 Knowledge of partnership arrangements It would be desirable to hold: Working at Heights Confined Spaces – include issue permits.
