Manager Corporate Finance

What You’ll Do Lead the finance team in delivering high‑quality financial management, reporting and analysis across multiple portfolios, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. Oversee complex budgeting cycles, manage investment portfolios and cash‑flow strategies, prepare statutory reports for executive review and provide expert guidance to colleagues across departments. Foster collaboration and continuous improvement while ensuring all financial practices meet rigorous compliance standards. Develop innovative solutions for process enhancement and contribute directly to strategic decision‑making through analytical insights. Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to drive organisational excellence in financial stewardship. Co‑lead the Corporate Finance team by allocating work priorities, conducting performance reviews and supporting staff development initiatives. Develop and maintain robust tools and controls for effective oversight of all financial responsibilities. Create comprehensive training materials, guidelines and resources for faculties or support areas. Review or prepare detailed financial reports for external funding bodies, ensuring transparency and compliance. Engage regularly with stakeholders such as Financial Services staff, faculty members, auditors and external service providers for smooth operations. Champion process‑improvement initiatives to enhance accounting insight, advice delivery and client support. Undertake additional activities as required that align with the overall accountabilities of the role. What You Bring Full membership of an internationally recognised accounting body such as ICAA or CPA, and an ongoing commitment to professional development. Proven experience in best‑practice financial management within large organisations. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively, creating an inclusive culture focused on customer‑service excellence. Exceptional organisational skills enabling prioritisation of multiple deliverables while meeting tight deadlines. Advanced written communication abilities for clear, concise, persuasive reports for diverse audiences. Strong critical‑analysis skills paired with sound judgement in complex decision‑making. Experience in process‑improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing accounting insight and client advisory services. Expertise in computerised financial systems, including advanced Excel proficiency and data interrogation capabilities. Experience gained within commercial organisations or the higher‑education sector is advantageous but not mandatory.
