Guidance Officer – Calliope State School Join Queensland Department of Education as a Guidance Officer at Calliope State School. Your Responsibilities Deliver individual and group counselling, psycho‑educational assessments and tailored recommendations to support students’ educational, behavioural, career, mental health and family needs. Collaborate with parents, staff and external agencies to provide comprehensive case management, referral services and support programmes that promote student wellbeing and engagement. Conduct assessments and observations to identify learning, developmental and psychological needs and assist in implementing appropriate interventions, adjustments and individualised education or behaviour plans. Lead and contribute to student protection, behaviour support and gifted education. Uphold professional standards, confidentiality, record‑keeping, participate in professional development and provide leadership in responding to critical incidents and intensive behaviour support needs.
