Guidance Officer – White Rock State School (0.38 FTE) Join the Queensland Department of Education as a Guidance Officer to support the Wellbeing Workforce team at White Rock State School. About The Role As a specialist member of a multidisciplinary team, you will offer therapeutic support to students with mild‑to‑moderate mental health concerns. Position type: Permanent Part‑Time capacity (0.38 FTE), 19 hours per fortnight. Responsibilities Assess the mental health needs of students to inform appropriate therapeutic interventions. Deliver individual and group interventions to students addressing mental health concerns. Work collaboratively with school leadership and student support teams to inform student support planning, and provide advice to teachers supporting students’ mental health in the classroom. Develop referral and case‑management processes to support delivery of the service. Coordinate referrals to external agencies, and work collaboratively with external networks and stakeholders to ensure access to appropriate supports for students. Provide advice and assistance to families to support the mental health of students. Support school communities in responding to critical incidents and emergencies as part of the school response team.
