About the Role Based in our Hope Valley, WA Branch, we are seeking an enthusiastic, results‑driven Assistant Accountant to be part of a dynamic WA finance team. This role has immediate commencement opportunity. The role will suit someone with 1‑2 years of post‑graduate accounting experience who is looking to deepen their technical skills and take the next step in their career under the guidance of the Financial Controller. Key Responsibilities Assist with month end and year end closing processes Prepare journals, reconciliations and supporting documentation Maintain Fixed Asset Register Support the preparation of financial reports and management accounts Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve queries Reconciliation of corporate credit cards and allocation to budgets Support audits and provide documentation for external auditors Assist with Inventory cycle counts and Annual stocktake Compilation of taxation and FP&A reporting as required Contribute to process improvements within the finance function Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline 1‑2 years of relevant post‑graduate accounting experience Progressing towards CA/CPA qualification (preferred) Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Proficient in Excel and financial systems Excellent communication and organisational skills A proactive mindset and willingness to learn Applicants must have Right to Work in Australia.
