Junior Hydraulic Designer - Building Services A fantastic opportunity to join a growing team of professional engineers located in Milton, Brisbane. Work on a variety of different projects Regular training opportunities Competitive remuneration package Opportunities for project leadership and client management Opportunities for working from home The Role: Our fire and hydraulic services team is responsible for providing efficient and innovative design solutions for various building services projects including commercial / retail office fit outs, new commercial / industrial buildings, residential and aged care developments, high rise tower base building upgrades, building audits and water saving initiatives. As a junior member of the team your responsibilities will include: Site survey inspections (including remote sites) Preparation of accurate and detailed hydraulic services design solutions Preparation of accurate and detailed wet fire services design solutions Preparation of contract documentation for tendering and construction purposes Managing design projects from concept through to completion including the consultation with all members of the design team Attending site to review construction and installation works Liaising with equipment Suppliers and Manufacturers Liaising with Authorities, including Trade Waste, Plumbing, Fire Authority, etc. Researching new products and design practices Skills and Experience: Our ideal candidate will have: Completed or be currently studying a Cert IV in Plumbing Services. A keen interest and a willingness to undertake further studies in fire and hydraulic services design. The ability to coordinate with other services disciplines Proven written and verbal communication skills and sound problem-solving skills The ability to work both autonomously and within a design team environment The ability to adapt seamlessly to change within the workplace Hold a valid C class driver’s license Must have full working rights in Australia and be based in Brisbane To apply for this position, please submit a cover letter and CV.
