IT Category Manager

IT Category Manager – Infrabuild Procurement Reporting to the Senior Category Manager, the IT Category Manager is an integral part of the Infrabuild Procurement leadership team. The role leads all commercial aspects of all of Infrabuild’s ICT spend (40‑50 million). The purpose of the role is to source, contract and manage suppliers, identify value (both price and non‑price), efficiencies, continuous improvements in cost and service, new equipment and performance reporting. Key Responsibilities Manage the end‑to‑end sourcing activity and negotiate contracts for all ICT subcategories Ensure that contract coverage is over 90% Develop category strategies by closely aligning with all IT stakeholders Identify opportunities to improve IT operations and develop the supply market Actively manage risks associated with the external spend Contribute to the development of the digital procurement strategy Manage relationships with critical suppliers and evaluate their operational performances Collaborate with other category managers to deliver a cohesive procurement strategy and approach Qualifications and Experience Minimum 5 years commercial experience managing complex and high value Technology spend A strong knowledge of all ICT Sub Categories will be an advantage Strong commercial skillset with demonstrated experience in negotiating and managing complex large spend contracts Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills Strong written and presentation skills Ability to interact at all levels including EGM/Board Very effective organisation and prioritisation skills Strong analytical and conceptual skills Key Benefits Generous parental leave: 20 weeks paid Primary Carer Leave and 3 weeks paid Partner Leave for those who have worked at the business for at least 12 months.
