Category Manager – MRO Join to apply for the Category Manager – MRO role at InfraBuild. Position may be based in Rooty Hill NSW, Newcastle NSW or Laverton VIC. You are an experienced Category Manager (Maintenance, Repairs & Operations) who thrives in an ever‑changing environment open to new ideas. The role involves developing and implementing category strategies, managing sourcing and contract management of goods across several categories in a heavy industrial environment. Key responsibilities include: Source, negotiate and manage supplier contracts ensuring maximum value. Maintain MRO spend contract coverage at >90% and frequently test contracts commercially. Develop category strategies and work with operational and business stakeholders to prioritise key needs. Identify opportunities to improve supply markets and determine applicable commercial levers. Develop MRO procurement strategies to support equipment utilisation, reliability and continuous improvement programs. Drive supplier relationships in MRO, engaging and coordinating InfraBuild stakeholders at different levels (Exec, GMs, Managers, Maintenance). Work with critical suppliers, investing time in relationships to identify and execute strategic projects. Key Experience Engineering tertiary qualification or mechanical/electrical trades. End‑to‑end procurement experience at a category level across MRO. Proven track record building and maintaining excellent relationships with diverse stakeholders. Excellent analytical skills and ability to provide insights and develop business cases. SAP experience ideal.
