Community Service Volunteers - Loui's Van Our Loui's Van volunteers help provide food, essential items and information to those in need and experiencing homelessness within our community. Some of the specific tasks for our van volunteers include the following: Distributing food, drinks, clothing and other essential items to those in need. Providing support and assistance to those experiencing homelessness, including providing information on support services where applicable. Having a friendly chat with those accessing the service, with kindness and empathy. Assisting with the set up and pack down of Loui's Van. Driving the vans (if you wish to be a driver). Optional responsibility of becoming a Team Leader. Category Community Services Commitment Regular - more than 6 months Type of Work Companionship & Social Support, Food Preparation & Service Time Required Our Loui's Vans run Sunday–Thursday every week. Approximate times are between 5:30–9 pm. Rosters are done in teams, and each team goes out on one run per month. There is the option to pick up additional van runs if you choose. #J-18808-Ljbffr
