Volunteer Outings Hosts - Hoppers Crossing (Roles for Mandarin speakers & others) Link Community & Transport – Hoppers Crossing VIC LINK Community Transport (LINK) is a not‑for‑profit company that services, benefits and supports diverse community groups, inclusive of the ageing population, people of all abilities and their carers (including those with culturally diverse backgrounds) by providing life‑enriching services through effective, accessible, and flexible social and home support. MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Co‑ordinate and supervise a small group of people Host an outing for up to 8 hours Assist clients in and out of the vehicles Co‑ordinate seating at venues and order meals and beverages Socialise and engage with the group Oversee the daily running of the outing SKILLS Exceptional customer service skills Versatile people skills Ability to communicate with people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds Sound attention to detail Ability to work as part of a team Training will be provided. Category: Community Services Commitment: Regular – more than 6 months Type Of Work: Companionship & Social Support, Driving & Transportation, Seniors & Aged Care Time Required: Some of our longer outings (e.g., Bendigo, Echuca) can make for a long day. If you’re available for early starts, that’s a huge advantage. Majority of our outings leave from our Thomastown HQ. A smaller number leave from the Western suburbs.
