Base pay range A$120.00/hr - A$145.00/hr We are currently working on an exciting hire for a Senior Product Designer for a leading Government organisation, based in Brisbane with hybrid working structure, on a 6 month contract paying up to $1050 p/d + super. As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping digital experiences that are elegant, user-focused, and measurable—while also being practical to build and maintain. You'll help meet real user needs and drive business value by delivering solutions that balance usability with efficiency. You’ll work closely with cross‑functional teams to design the new website, internal platforms and customer‑facing digital products that support the business customers. Responsibilities User‑centred product design from research, user journeys, ideation, prototyping and user testing Govern and maintain the design system Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Champion the customer to drive improvement and innovation Provide mentorship to other team members, such as Product designers Ensure that all records are maintained in accordance with records management policies Required Experience & Skills Over 5 years experience as a UX/UI / Product Designer Extensive experience in web/high‑volume digital products Proficient design system experience a must and be demonstrated Portfolio/examples of work needed Ability to elevate visual design UR – qualitative and quantitative research synthesising user research Strong skills in foundational design thinking principles / UI design Strong and demonstrable capability in interaction design Experience delivering user interface specifications using Figma, Sketch or Adobe Xd Agile environment background in a collaborative environment Delivering WCAG 2 compliant solutions If this role sounds suitable and you are interested, please apply ASAP Divisional Manager UX/UI, Design & Product M: Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Contract Job function Design Industries Government Administration and Insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr
