The Role We are seeking an experienced Nursery Hand to assist and maintain our nursery in Vineyard. This role is ideal for someone passionate about horticulture, plant care, and growing healthy stock. You will play a key role in overseeing nursery operations and ensuring the growth and maintenance of trees, shrubs, and plants. Responsibilities Oversee and improve daily nursery operations. Propagate, pot up, and grow plants, trees, and shrubs for stock. Maintain the health of all nursery stock, including monitoring watering, soil conditions, and plant positioning. Implement seasonal tasks such as spring fertilising, weed management, and sucker removal. Conduct regular stocktakes of plants, trees, and shrubs. Order and manage nursery supplies, including soil, stones, fertilisers, shrubs, plants, and trees. Requirements Proven experience working in a nursery or horticulture environment. Strong knowledge of plant care, propagation, and pest/disease management. Ability to manage seasonal tasks efficiently and maintain nursery stock to a high standard.
