Overview Illawarra Vocational Services (IVS) provides meaningful employment for people with disability by offering a range of garden maintenance and packaging services in the local Illawarra area. We're seeking a passionate and experienced Supervisor of Operations and Maintenance to lead and support a crew of supported employees at IVS. This hands‑on role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys mentoring others, and has proficiency for equipment maintenance and operational coordination. This full‑time position is a perfect opportunity for maintaining work‑life balance, working 7:15 am to 2:45 pm across various sites in our Illawarra region. Responsibilities Supervise and train supported employees to complete job assignments safely and efficiently. Conduct risk assessments, allocate tasks, and tailor support to individual abilities and goals. Oversee the maintenance of IVS equipment and vehicles, ensuring safety and functionality. Provide operational support to the Team Leader, IVS Operations, and step into the Team Leader role when required. Uphold IVS's community profile through excellent customer service and professionalism. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and internal policies. Complete daily reports and administrative tasks to a high standard. What You'll Bring Proven leadership and supervisory experience. Demonstrated mechanical ability and experience with horticultural equipment. Commitment to supporting people with disability in meaningful employment. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Experience in commercial / residential mowing or garden maintenance. Understanding of disability, mental health, and complex support needs. Ability to identify productivity improvements and maintain high work standards. Why Join Us?
