Electrical Superintendent EnerMech is a specialist service company delivering safe, integrated solutions for complex energy projects worldwide. For over 50 years, we have energized clients with unrivalled expertise, equipment, and technology across offshore and on‑land asset life‑cycles. We are seeking an Electrical Superintendent for the Snowy Hydro Project , one of Australia’s most iconic infrastructure developments. This is a fixed‑term contract from now until early 2026, with a 2‑weeks‑on / 1‑week‑off rotation to support work‑life balance. The Role As Electrical Superintendent you will lead day‑to‑day site activities, ensuring the electrical team operates safely and delivers high‑quality work to EnerMech’s standards. Your hands‑on responsibilities include installing and testing high‑voltage and fibre‑optic cabling, and coordinating closely with engineering and leadership teams. Key Responsibilities Attend and participate in safety and toolbox meetings. Manage on‑site removal, installation and fabrication works (both site and workshop based). Perform general fitting and machining duties and maintain equipment in good working order. Prepare and submit purchase requisitions. Execute minor civil remediation and quality assurance verification. Provide direction and mentorship to trades assistants and apprentices. Support continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and quality. Operate within EnerMech’s Financial and Non‑Financial Delegation Authority Matrix. Qualifications and Experience Trade Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering (Fitting & Machining) or a comparable trade qualification. National Construction Card – White Card. Valid police clearance. Active Australian driver’s licence (car or heavy rigid). Experience working at heights, forklifts and confined spaces is desirable. Demonstrated experience in industrial site or maintenance work, preferably in oil & gas or infrastructure sectors. Capability to operate engineering machinery, hand, power and measuring tools. Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with all procedures and PPE requirements. Flexibility with working hours to meet operational requirements. Good communication skills.
