Inscale is looking for Senior Java Software Developer to join our Lisbon office in a hybrid work model (3 days in‑office). Become a part of JYSK, one of the world’s largest retail chains As a Senior Java Software Developer, you will be responsible for developing various applications and specifying and refining features and tasks in cooperation with different business areas. Technology Stack Spring Boot Kafka JDK 17 Responsibilities The Java team is responsible for a wide range of in-house developed applications. You will get the opportunity to work in different business areas and with different technologies. We are looking for engineers who: Are passionate about IT and software development Are skilled Java developers who continuously strive to improve their skills Write clean code and create flexible software architecture Have experience with Java web technologies Write thorough tests of the code and are familiar with test driven development Can drive and facilitate design discussions Have extensive knowledge of distributed systems and concurrency Education Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, engineering, or related discipline OR relevant years of experience in required skills. Experience Requirements Must Have Skills: 6‑8 years of experience in software development with Java 5+ years working with Spring Boot Experience with SQL Nice to Have Skills: Experience with Cloud Native engineering Experience with Kafka Experience with Docker and Kubernetes Test Driven Development (TDD) Soft Skills Requirements Proactively solution oriented (Nothing is lost in the cracks) Always on the ball Displays maturity and loyalty to the processes, organization, and decisions Dares and wants to challenge status quo Keeping cool and taking qualified decisions under pressure Able and willing to mentor and teach others Is very adept at managing own time and priorities Collaboration and help‑seeking are seen as strengths Travel Requirements Travelling to Brabrand, Denmark, based on the project requirement or the Manager.
