To support this next phase, AMA Group is seeking a contemporary, commercially astute Chief People Officer to shape and accelerate the organisation’s future through its most critical asset: its people. The Opportunity Reporting to the Managing Director and partnering closely with the SLT and Board, the Chief People Officer will lead the People function across Australia and New Zealand, shaping culture, strengthening capability and embedding the frameworks needed for a high‑performing, multi‑site workforce. As AMA Group continues its upward trajectory, this role requires a leader who can balance strategic influence with operational credibility, driving meaningful people and commercial outcomes across a complex industrial network. The CPO will: Oversee Safety, Health & Wellbeing; Culture, Engagement & Communication; Leadership & Capability; Talent, Workforce Strategy & Succession; Remuneration, Reward & Payroll Governance; IR/ER, Risk & Compliance; People Systems, Data & Reporting; and leadership of a multi‑disciplinary People Team Modernise and simplify People frameworks to lift performance and organisational capability Lead an enterprise‑wide cultural uplift centred on trust, safety, accountability and engagement Build strong leadership, talent and succession pipelines across all business units Strengthen safety and wellbeing through values‑based leadership and practical execution Enhance remuneration, payroll and governance systems to ensure accuracy, compliance and transparency Provide the MD, SLT and Board with clear insight, data and strategic guidance Develop, inspire and evolve the People Team About you AMA Group is seeking a senior People executive who brings: Extensive HR leadership experience within large, multi‑site, industrial or operational environments A proven track record in leading organisational transformation with strong commercial outcomes Experience operating with C‑suite and Board, ideally within an ASX‑listed or comparably complex organisation Deep credibility across safety, IR/ER, workforce planning, culture and capability development A leadership style built on trust, clarity, alignment and accountability High levels of resilience, judgement and maturity, with the ability to navigate complexity with confidence and steadiness You will be a modern CPO, strategic, grounded and pragmatic who is motivated by creating meaningful and lasting organisational impact.
