The base pay range for this position is $117,000–$200,000. Salary is negotiated annually. About the Division The Division of Biomedical Informatics (DBMI) in the Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence and is recruiting outstanding faculty for Assistant or Associate Adjunct (non‑tenure) Professor. DBMI engages in research and service programs in clinical informatics, bioinformatics, natural language processing, artificial intelligence, privacy technology, global health informatics, and many other areas, and receives over $23M in annual extramural funding. Candidates will be responsible for teaching and conducting research in biomedical informatics, designing innovative tools and algorithms that advance discovery and health outcomes, and building collaborations across the university. Qualifications Basic qualifications (required at time of application): candidates must have at least three original, first‑authored peer‑reviewed publications. Additional qualifications (required at time of start): candidates must hold a doctoral degree in biomedical informatics, computer science, or related disciplines, or a health sciences doctoral degree (MD, OD, DMD, etc.) by the time of appointment.
