Providing support to employers and employees at all stages throughout the employment relationship is our core business. Whether this is by way of more formal legal processes or simply pointing clients in the right direction – for us, it’s all about helping people out. We are currently seeking a full-time graduate or junior lawyer to join our team on the Sunshine Coast. THE ROLE Assisting in and advising clients in relation to all aspects of an employment relationship (excluding Workers Compensation). Drafting and preparing applications and court documents. Assisting with and negotiating resolutions of client matters. Representing clients in Commission, Court and Tribunal conferences, hearings and mediations. Briefing and liaising with counsel as required. Speaking to potential new clients, in order to assess and determine their suitability as a client. Maintaining client files in an accurate and comprehensive manner. Engaging and collaborating with the team to ensure a warm and friendly work environment. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE An interest or passion for employment law. 1 to 3 years post admission experience; experience in employment or litigation an advantage but not a must have. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Excellent time management skills, with an ability to adapt and work independently as well as collaboratively within a small team.
