Data Engineer – King Living King Living, a family‑owned Australian company known for quality furniture design, is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to lead and evolve its data platform. The role focuses on integrating, transforming, and delivering insights from SAP into Azure Data Lake and Microsoft Fabric, enabling AI‑driven business decisions. The Opportunity We’re looking for a forward‑thinking Data Engineer to manage data pipelines, optimise ETL/ELT processes, and empower the business with powerful, AI‑driven insights through Power BI. You’ll be at the core of our data ecosystem, ensuring accurate and scalable analytics. The Role Operate and enhance Azure Data Lake ingestion from SAP. Manage and optimise pipelines across bronze, silver, and gold layers. Monitor and troubleshoot ETL/ELT processes. Maintain data quality, lineage, and governance. Design Power BI dashboards and visualisations. Collaborate with stakeholders on BI models and data structures. Leverage AI features in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI for predictive insights. Continuously evolve the data platform for scalability and modern practices. About You Proven experience with Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse, or Fabric. Strong background in ETL/ELT pipelines, data modelling, and performance optimisation. Experience with SAP data structures or integration tools. Proficient in SQL and scripting languages. Skilled in building and publishing Power BI datasets and reports. Understanding of Power BI governance, workspace management, and deployment best practices. Familiarity with AI capabilities in Fabric/Power BI (Copilot, predictive analytics). Experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD and version control (GitHub or Azure DevOps). Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Nice to Have Exposure to SAP HANA or other ERP systems. Experience with AI/ML models in business contexts.
