We are seeking a dynamic, engaging, and driven Faculty Leader of English for the Lew Family Secondary School, located in Burwood, Victoria. This is a unique opportunity to lead a high‑performing department at a school renowned for its exceptional VCE results. We are looking for an outstanding educator who is not only a brilliant teacher but also a collaborative and inspirational leader, who shares their love and learning, their knowledge and practice of contemporary pedagogies, and enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team. This is a full‑time tenured position for three years with a teaching component to commence in Term 1, 2026. A competitive salary package will be negotiated in order to attract candidates of the highest calibre. All applicants must have a current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration. The successful candidate : Should have a proven record of success as a secondary educator with an extensive knowledge in educational theory and practice and considerable experience working in a school environment. Be able to demonstrate capacity to work as a senior team member to achieve strategic outcomes in teaching and learning. Be able to demonstrate educational leadership and a commitment to developing a culture of learning excellence. Be able to demonstrate a commitment to the Jewish character, practice and ethos of the College. Have a high level of interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents and colleagues, and represent the College in the community, building and developing these relationships. Have a high level of organisational ability and initiative as well as the ability to supervise, motivate and mentor staff. Have experience in Education administration.
