Workplace Health & Safety Advisor – Avia Homes Avia Homes is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Advisor to establish and lead our safety systems across our growing operations. As our first dedicated safety professional, you’ll design procedures, embed compliance and champion a culture where every employee, partner and trade feels empowered to work safely. Base pay range A$110,000.00/yr - A$130,000.00/yr Benefits Competitive remuneration package based on experience Foundational role with real influence on company safety culture Ongoing training, mentoring and development opportunities Regular team events and a workplace that feels like home A culture built on trust, consistency and accountability What You’ll Be Doing Develop and implement WHS policies, procedures and systems tailored to residential construction Influence safety culture by building strong relationships across teams and trades Conduct routine site inspections across multiple builds to identify hazards and ensure compliance Deliver training and development programs for employees, contractors and trade partners Lead incident investigations and support continuous improvement in safety practices Act as the primary point of contact for all WHS matters, reporting directly to senior leadership Provide expert advice to ensure Avia Homes meets its obligations under the WHS Act What You Bring 5+ years’ experience in WHS within construction or a related industry Deep knowledge of WHS legislation, codes of practice and risk management frameworks A track record of creating practical policies and delivering training that sticks Strong communication skills – you connect easily with employees, contractors and leadership Resilient under pressure, you lead by example and build safety culture through trust and collaboration Formal qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety (Cert IV or Diploma) About Avia Homes At Avia Homes, we build homes people love, and we do it differently.
