Associate/ Senior Associate - Employment (Perm or Contract) Join to apply for the Associate/ Senior Associate - Employment (Perm or Contract) role at Clyde & Co . We are looking for an Associate or Senior Associate Employment lawyer to join the practice led by Managing Partner Rebecca Kelly in either our Melbourne or Sydney office to focus on contentious and non-contentious matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong employment background, gained within a large-scale international or regional top tier firm. Responsibilities Advising on workforce conduct issues and internal investigations on behalf of clients, including implementing recommendations Advising clients on compliance with local laws and regulations; instructing and liaising with correspondent law firms across the region Acting for and advising global, multinational, and local clients on a range of issues, including start-up employment infrastructure, corporate governance and senior executive incentive schemes Advising on large-scale restructuring exercises including employee communications and drafting documents Advising on structuring issues Providing advice and support on a full range of employment issues, including recruitment and sponsorship procedures, remuneration and benefits packages, grievance and disciplinary procedures and termination matters Supporting the corporate department with employment issues arising from transactions, including employment due diligence, drafting warranties and indemnities, and transfer of employees Drafting and amending employment contracts, employee handbooks, policies and procedures, and other employment-related documentation Advising clients across sectors including energy, transport, mining & resources, construction & engineering, insurance and reinsurance, financial services, telecommunications and information technology on employment issues Defending clients in large-scale and complex employment disputes in local courts and financial centres Advising on settlement of disputes and drafting settlement agreements Advising on immigration matters Candidate requirements Extensive experience on employment-related matters; Australia-wide experience is advantageous Experience at a large-scale international or regional top-tier law firm Ability to interact confidently with clients and proactively develop business Degree certificates from a reputed institution with strong academic performance Mature, flexible, team-oriented personality Self-motivated with a proactive approach to completing work and business development Genuine commitment to building a career with Clyde & Co in Australia Company overview and culture We operate as a global firm with hundreds of partners and thousands of professionals across nearly 70 offices and associated offices worldwide.
