Postdoctoral Fellow, Quality Use of Medicines (QUM) UNSW Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia Employment Type: Full‑time (35 hours a week) Duration: 2 year fixed‑term (possibility of extension, funding dependent) Remuneration: $91k – $121k base (plus 17% superannuation and leave loading) Work rights required: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. The role will be based at the new state‑of‑the‑art Health Translation Hub working with academics across the School of Health Sciences, School of Clinical Medicine and the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre. The Opportunity Join a nationally recognised research team focused on improving the Quality Use of Medicines (QUM) and contribute to impactful health outcomes across clinical, academic and policy sectors. We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to support a portfolio of multidisciplinary QUM research and education projects. You will contribute to study design, data collection and analysis, stakeholder engagement and knowledge‑translation activities. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your academic career while working on research that informs policy and practice. Key Responsibilities Conduct and coordinate research activities to high scientific and ethical standards. Contribute to the development of research questions and study designs. Undertake literature reviews and data analysis using qualitative and/or quantitative methods. Prepare peer‑reviewed publications, reports and conference presentations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage with stakeholders. Assist in preparing research grant proposals and ethics submissions. Support knowledge‑translation and dissemination of findings. Skills And Experience A PhD in pharmacy, medicine, nursing, public health or a related discipline. Experience conducting systematic reviews and health‑related research using qualitative and/or quantitative methods. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including academic writing. Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., NVivo, SPSS, SAS, Stata). Understanding of ethical and governance requirements in health research. Experience contributing to research funding applications. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic research environment.
