Join to apply for the Senior Prosecutions Officer role at WorkCover WA The Senior Prosecutions Officer role undertakes prosecution and enforcement activities for WorkCover WA. The position is part of a Prosecutions Unit which will manage the drafting and lodging of prosecution and court hearing notices and represent WorkCover WA in court. Key duties of the position include: Reviews and prepares prosecution briefs in preparation of providing reports, recommending whether there is sufficient evidence to prosecute for breaches of legislation. Collates case information in a format that is admissible for court proceedings and presents evidence and information in accordance with relevant legislation, procedures and rules of evidence. Assists with preparing reports relating to prosecution functions and responses to public enquiries regarding prosecution outcomes. As the Senior Prosecutions Officer you will have: Skills and experience in preparing prosecution briefs within a compliance environment and the Western Australian legal framework, processes and judicial system. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills including the ability to provide specialist advice to a range of stakeholders and prepare a range of written documentation, including court and legal documentation.
